Personal History

Chronological History --
Ed's family owns and operates the only auto racing league still in existence on Earth. He and his younger brother were raised around the cars based on late 20th/early 21st century endurance and stock cars. The two brothers started building modern engines that were used in the cars. The league rules prohibited Ed from entering as a driver, which was a dream of his, so he entered Starfleet.
Ed entered the Academy and studied in the field of Engineering. He also studied Advanced Ship Design & Systems. Although Ed was a member of the marksmanship team, he never qualified high enough to compete.
After graduating from the Academy, Ed was assigned to the USS Walton, an Akira class ship. Some of his personal belongings in his quarters are an original hood off the #63 Corvette used in the 2001 Le Mans, an original Confederate battle flag (passed down through his family), and a number of displays of medals and ribbons from many generations of his family. He then served on Starbase 118 before being assigned to the USS Constitution-B in late 2380. He was lost when the saucer section rammed the Cube to destroy it.
