Iljor immediately orders Nilsen to sit, beginning the confrontation with a stern tone and Iljor presents a PADD containing the report from Denali Station, highlighting Nilsen's reckless behavior during the race. Nilsen initially tries to defend himself, mentioning other participants' actions and attempting to deflect blame. Iljor demands to know Nilsen's thoughts during the incident, emphasizing his frustration and disbelief at Nilsen's recklessness. Nilsen reluctantly admits to his actions but continues to shift blame.

 

Iljor rejects Nilsen's excuses and focuses on Nilsen’s responsibility and failure to adhere to Starfleet's standards. Nilsen, finally realizing the gravity of the situation, eventually breaks down and confesses his misconduct, expressing remorse and frustration.

 

ljor decides against immediate severe punishment but issues a stern warning. Nilsen is given specific punitive tasks: retaking his pilot's exam and performing menial labor in the cargo bay.
