:I agree with your reasoning. In the US military, for instance, the health sciences university is the [[wp:Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences|Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences]], of which the military's medical school is just one part of in addition to nursing schools and graduate schools that offer clinical psychology degrees. Since we're creating our own canon (or as I like to think of it, "filling in the gaps" ;D ), how about I create a new "Division of Health Sciences" and make the Starfleet Medical Academy just one part of it in addition to a nursing school and counseling program, etc. That certainly could also help explain why Bashir mentions attending the Starfleet Medical Academy but Crusher's [[ma:File:Beverly_Crusher_personnel_file.jpg|data file]] simply listed that she attended plain ol' "Starfleet Academy" from 2342 to 2350. –[[User:Rich|Rich]]<sup>[[User talk:Rich|(talk page)]]</sup> ''aka Lt.Cmdr.
