Tells her about his family, then says he nearly killed himself in an effort to save the Cardassians. The Path Out of Darkness Part 2 -- He gets yelled at, which destroys his calm. Then apologizes and confesses he hasn't taken his inhibitors since they got back. And builds shields with her help.
