To everybody on the outside, Thomas graduated Starfleet Academy with a decent GPA and was stationed aboard the ''USS Immortal''. His job was to investigate the ship for a possible mole to the Orion Syndicate. In the end, Thomas was able to find the mole, but there were a few deaths involved and his cover as an agent was blown.

It was while on New Symphony Colony that Thomas met Lieutenant Colonel Derek Hagan who approached him with the truth about [[The Hunger]]. The amount of scientific information and history that had been found in so many species convinced Thomas that the threat was real. It was then that Thomas decided to join [[Sicarius]] as an informant giving them access to intelligence in case there was another incursion.
Colonel Hagan was able to get Thomas added to the intensive mind training program used by interrogators and deep cover agents which (though extremely painful and intrusive) Thomas was able to learn how to control his thoughts and fight a telepath trying to read him.
To any telepath, his mind is simply ordered and boring thinking about ship reports and other pieces of information.
While on Bolus, Thomas was able to not only stop a terrorist attack on the capital city in 2385, he was able to expose a large section of the [[Sentinels of the Black|Sentinel]] network earning him a position of agent in Sicarius. He served as an agent until 2393 when he was promoted by Sicarius to Operative, the highest rank under the Will.
Now a master interrogator and agent pursuing any and all information that could help defeat the Hunger, he has kept his ties to the shadow organization buried.
