Known for immediately prying into the lives of anyone she meets, Sepulsra is every bit the ominous counsellor so many dread to visit. As a student of clinical psychology, at the University of Betazed, instructors initially thought that she wasn't worthy or capable of passing, believing her too unruly, and mischievous. Yet her techniques were tantamount to many of her success stories, and despite the scorns from her peers and class-mates, she was reluctantly permitted a graduation.

Sepulsra was born in Leiddumai, a place somewhere in [[Betazed]], to parents Dwavriya and Cesmol Hex (née Ekostri), and is the sister of brothers Beimal and Deimad. Although not a noble family, the Hex's have always enjoyed mingling with the upper echelons of society, and so have always held many expectations for their children to do and act as a Noble would. But a tumultuous time in education left Sepulsra with a reputation as a rogue with her own ideas, and a graduation that almost never happened. Joining Starfleet therefore was her way out. Away from Betazed, away from her family and out into the blackness...where she could do as she pleased.
 
Her parents, Dwavriya and Cesmol Hex, are notorious naturists who take the tradition of undressing further than anyone else in Leiddumai, and like the majority of older-generation Betazoids, feel empowered by the status and reputation that comes with their notoriety. Dwavriya in particular considers her children as investments, involving herself in their interests at any given opportunity; however, her daughter has always proven to be a specific challenge, and not so easy to manage or even track down. Although a non-royal family, the House of Hex is swathed in scandal nonetheless - something that Sepulsra is said to be responsible for.
 
 
Gossip would have it that the event that lead to her families public disgrace, was also the thing that lead her to a career in Starfleet, and that it is a memory somehow marred.

After initially being posted on the [[USS Chin'toka]], under the brilliant Caitian Captain [[Mei'konda]], she was transferred to the Shemsh Colony in the quake of an attack which left the colonists traumatised, where she has spent some of her most formative and maturing years. Now her oily black eyes look up to the stars once more, to her future and what that holds for her next.
