 Born Stardate 236802.04 two minutes before her twin brother Kellan in Kent, Michigan to mother Adelynn Rosek. By the age of six, Lael discovered her talent for fixing things. She has a very close relationship with her twin brother and swears no one knows or understands her better. Lael was a good student, making excellent grades, especially in Math and Science.
-At age 14, she attended a Starfleet engineering summer camp and fell in love with the idea of Starfleet. From then on, she was determined to pursue a career in Starfleet. She devoted every spare minute of her time to preparing, sacrificing a social life for her dreams. It all paid off when she was accepted at the tender age of 18. There was never any question what field she’d pursue: Engineering. It was during her years at the Academy that she found a balance between her social interests and her studies.

However, the vids and textbook descriptions of tortures caused her such a degree of stress that she nearly developed a split personality. She was removed immediately from the Command Track and forced to select another major or be discharged from Starfleet. Though at one point she considered accepting the discharge and going in search of her father, her brother encouraged her to stay with Starfleet and pursue Engineering.
 Ivina was her first monogamous relationship and they were together for her first two years as a Cadet. However, they mutually decided to end the relationship because they weren’t in love. A year later, she met Jensar Berel. Their relationship moved quickly and within six months, they had eloped despite protests from both their families.
