When Trill joined the United Federation of Planets in 2285 the Trill Private service was disbanded. Apria opposed the Federation but joined their ranks. The <i>Farel<i> was refitted with Starfleet tech and she continued command of the ship. She struggled with that decision and finally retired 5 years later, after being forced by injury.
