This means that some stores may have two levels once you enter, or that some shops might be situated directly above others. On the promenades, there are mezzanines that allows access to the the upper and lower levels, but do not obstruct the wide open space that created by the full 9-meter ceiling height. This also allows the holodecks to be full size.
