+Ezaya was raised on a colony just outside of Bajoran space. Her parents tried to keep both their cultures alive for their children as they were growing up. At age 12 Ezaya met a Starfleet officer who had crashed on their small colony and she became enthralled with going to the Academy. She worked hard to help her colony survive attacks from other Colonies and famine from long winters. She soon saw her time passing and finally, at 20, she applied to the Academy and was accepted. While there, she kept to herself and focused on her goal of becoming a starfleet officer.
