Originally commissioned in 2320, Deep Space 224 is a starbase located in The Borderlands close to Klingon space, and nearby to a neutron star by the name of Klatax. The station was almost mothballed and on a closer list for several decades until the Dominion War. The station was later seized by the Klingon's and was held as a Trophy for a little less than a year until retaken by the Federation. The Station was reactivated into service on star date 2397.16, and now serves as the Center of federation interests in the region as well as home base for the U.S.S Resolution; a Federation science vessel.
