At the academy, Cory was an indifferent student. His best subjects were history (his minor) and things that related to his time as a Starfleet Petty Officer. The higher education stuff bored him and his grades suffered. But he was a solid “B” student. His fellow classmates helped him with the more involved subjects. In turn he taught them the difference between the academy and real life on a starship. At 24, when he started the academy, he acted as an older brother to the students.

Cory's time so far onboard the Constitution has been very interesting.  Seeming to jump from one crisis to the next without a pause.
