In 2366, after a large celestial object passed at near right angles to the plane of the Bre'ella's star system, the orbit of Bre'el's moon was disrupted and began a downward trajectory into the planet. Numerous efforts were made by a Starfleet crew to return the moon to its proper orbit, but all attempts to do so were unsuccessful.
