William was a former Lieutenant-Commander who retired on stardate 237004.21

He was the CSO aboard the Ambassador-class ''USS Reiver'' (NCC 34496), retiring not long before his eldest son was born and after a shuttle crash on Earth. William emerged unscathed, but the Reivers First Officer - William's brother-in-law - died on impact. When their first child was born - and at William's suggestion - they named the boy Arturo after his uncle.

William earned numerous Science Awards, and these are displayed in his study in the family home.

He passed away at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on Stardate 239707.10.

Abrielle is Maxwell's mother, the Italian Matriarch of the family. She is a Civilian Administration Clerk at a Starfleet Storage Yard near the family home. Abrielle is always on the lookout for a "nice girl" for her two boys, whilst always keeping at least one eye on the intentions of any potential suitors for her daughter, Rosetta.

As the eldest son, Arturo bears the brunt of Abrielle's well-intentioned matchmaking - much to Henry's delight and amusement.

Henry Maxwell always wanted to be a Marine alongside his brother, and it was a dream that both boys shared growing up.

Life had different plans however, with Arturo failing to get into the Marines and then finding himself on the path to becoming a Tactical Officer upon his second attempt at the Academy. Henry also failed his first attempt at joining the Marines, and left it at that. Instead he focused on his day job as a delivery driver and his weekends playing rugby for the local amateur-level team, the Jedburgh Hammers where he became a bit of a hero amongst local fans. Henry visited his brother a few times on Starbase 118 and found that he quite liked the place, moving there permanently in 239511 at the same time as his niece, Milly.

In early 2397, Henry spent some time back in Scotland after his fathers funeral, before returning to Starbase 118 as a Freelance Investigative Journalist on Stardate 239801.09.

For one of the Senior Staff beach parties, she made sure there was a package on his desk containing Hawaiian shorts, a tshirt and flip flops waiting for him after a late meeting. Whilst Max is eternally grateful for her exceptional level of help and all her thoughtful little acts, he is completely oblivious to the way she can sometimes be seen looking at him.

From the first day they met aged nine, Max was hopelessly in love with Karey. The pair were always seen sat together, reading together or holding hands. As their teenage years arrived this innocent friendship developed rapidly into much, much more despite Karey's emerging narcissism and quiet manipulation of Max. Max was what she wanted at the time, on and off. And then on and off again, ditching him whenever a new boy took her fancy for a few days or a week or two. So completely had Max been reeled in he could not see any of this, and would not hear a bad word said about Karey no matter how many times she broke his heart. Their college years marked the low point, with Max being routinely humiliated, belittled and sometimes drunkenly hit by the woman he absolutely adored. At one month of age, Amelia was dumped at her Grandparents home by Karey who chose to swan off and live the life of parties and excess, swooping back into Max's life at random over the years whenever the fancy took her.
