History

In the 2250s a member of the royal family developed a way to recrystallize dilithium, resulting in the Xaheans developing warp travel.

Government

The Xahean government is made up of the Xahean Council and the royal family.

Description

The Xaheans are a humanoid species with sharp teeth and dark hands ending in clawed fingers. These claws are more pronounced in females then males. Their faces have line-like patterns which might be blue or slightly raised.

Physiology

While humanoid in appearance Xaheans have numerous differences that distinguish them from other humanoid species.

One of the more major differences is their development. Xaheans go through a larval stage, at the age of seventeen they reach their post-larval quiescent-stage (Earth insects go through this as well in the form of a pupa). Another peculiarity is their ability to affect technology at a distance.

Xaheans have natural defenses as well. They are able to camouflage themselves in a similar manner to the Tosk and the Jem'Hadar and have spines which they can raise along their back.

Minor differences include their orange blood and a second interior eyelid.

Religion

Xaheans believe that they had been born at the same time as their planet, and believe they are the planet's twins.
