USS Eagle/A Chat with Valentino/Introduction

Sitting comfortably on his leather couch, Michael sipped a tall glass of Pina Colado. The sun was setting on Eagle Island as he finished recording his short transmission. Pausing for a moment, he stood up and walked towards what would have been the edge of the large room.

Valentino: Computer, please replay transmission.

The holodeck seemed to shimmer into emptiness for a moment before the program restarted.

Maria the waitress handed Michael his favourite drink and walked away. He sipped a little before carefully resting the tall glass on the table in front. The background scenary was stunning with palm trees dancing left to right behind in the gentle breeze. The soft tropical music gave the island a gentle calm. Michael gazed out into the ocean and into the camera, as he spoke. His voice was smooth with a hint of a Sicilian accent.

Valentino: Wouldn’t we all like to know our fellow crew members a little better?

Standing up and picking up his drink, he walked over to the shoreline. As the camera followed him, the crystal clean ocean in the background was a breathtaking sight.

Valentino: Well, I’ll be having a chat with each of you, once a week if possible as we explore these very important little details. ::Chuckles:: We can talk here or anywhere you like. Perhaps Emmalyne would like to talk on her homeworld or Mr Tel-ar would prefer to be interviewed in a gym.

Michael continued to walk along the shoreline.

Valentino: Maybe one of you want to know if a certain someone is single? Or where they’d like to go on a first date. If so, you can always send me questions to ask the interviewee. Of course, this can be anonymous if you wish, I won’t tell anyone. :Winks:

Walking past the exotic drinks area, Michael sat back down on his comfortable couch.

The recording ends and the program disappears.

Valentino: Well, that was everything I wanted to say.

Computer: Please restate question.

Valentino: :Chuckles: I was talking to myself computer.

He walked over to the console and sent the transmission to all the crewmembers aboard the USS Eagle. They would receive the message momentarily. He smiled to himself as he strolled out of the holodeck.
