Transcendimensionalism

As sentient beings explored their galaxy, it became clear that there was more to reality than could immediately be seen. Experimental physics had confirmed the existence of additional dimensions, but other than some expediency in space-flight, little was known or utilized from these higher realms. Moral philosophers hypothesized that certain phenomenal experiences of those in the standard three dimensions of space and one of time were actually sourced in higher dimensions. The common experience of morality, was posited as coming from these higher-realms. In the galactic community, encounters with beings who seemed to transcend this plane of existence gave further evidence and from some of these records, a community of faith grew. Called "Transcendimensionalism" it became popular with many in the El-Aurian diaspora.

Q, a higher-dimensional being

There are more dimensions that the typically experienced dimensions (3 of space, 1 of time). The purpose of life is to live in harmony with the vibrations of higher dimensions and to progress and become a higher-dimensional being. There may not be a limit to dimensions, but beings from higher dimensions occasionally intervene directly in the lives of those on lower planes of existence.

Wormholes and Nexus phenomenon are evidence of incursions from higher dimensional realms. Beings, such as the Q, the Bajoran Prophets, and a host of others are inhabitants of higher realms. In the Transcendimensionalism tradition, such beings are called "Elevates."

In Transcendimensionalism, each dimension has symbolic as well as literal meaning. A few examples are in the chart below.

Dimensions and their meanings
1st Dimension: Unity
2nd Dimension: Duality
3rd Dimension: Complexity
4th Dimension: Change
5th Dimension: Morality

From the Pamphlet

The following is an excerpt from a Transdimensionalist religious tract, circa 2180:

In the tapestry of existence, we are threads woven across dimensions, reaching toward the ever-expanding canvas of enlightenment. Transcendimensionalism, our guiding beacon, teaches us that our reality is not confined to mere three dimensions. We embrace the spiraling progression of consciousness through higher dimensions, each layer adding depth to our understanding.

Imagine, if you will, a multidimensional tapestry where threads of unity, duality, and complexity intertwine. Our beliefs reflect this intricate weave, where Elevates—beings from higher realms—guide us, unseen but felt, like a whisper in the wind. Their luminous presence resonates within us, an invisible hand urging us toward moral truths that stretch across dimensions.

Just as light refracts through a prism, so do we refract through dimensions, revealing different facets of our existence. Our hearts resonate with the moral gravity of these dimensions, urging us to seek harmony with the celestial forces that shape our path. The struggles of self-deception arise when we resist this pull, obscuring our view of the greater tapestry.

To be a Transcendimensionalist is to be a seeker, a weaver of threads, and a listener to the echoes of higher realms. Through meditation and introspection, we strive to attune our spirits to the harmonious frequencies of the Elevates, embracing our place in the symphony of existence. We seek to align our choices with the moral truths that transcend dimensions, woven into the very fabric of our being.

Practices

Meditative Dimensional Attunement: Practitioners engage in meditative practices designed to attune their consciousness to the different dimensions. These meditations help them connect with the moral pulls from higher realms and gain insights into their own journey of growth.

Harmonic Reflection: Adherents engage in reflective practices where they contemplate the harmonious interplay of dimensions within their own lives. They consider how unity, duality, and complexity manifest in their thoughts, actions, and relationships.

Dimensional Rituals: Special rituals are performed during significant life events, such as birth, marriage, and passing. These rituals honor the progression of dimensions and seek blessings from the Elevates to guide individuals through each phase of life.

Elevate Invocation: During communal gatherings, practitioners invoke the presence of the Elevates through chants, songs, or spoken prayers. These invocations are meant to create a bridge between the material realm and higher dimensions.

Elevate Artifacts: Sacred artifacts or symbols associated with the Elevates are cherished by adherents. These artifacts serve as reminders of the connection between dimensions and can be used in personal practices or displayed in places of worship. The hypercube symbol is often used as a symbolic adornment as well. [[1]]

Unity Gatherings: Periodic gatherings focus on the unity of all dimensions and the interconnectedness of all life. These events emphasize the shared journey of growth and the importance of supporting one another.

Transdimensional Pilgrimages: Adherents embark on pilgrimages to places believed to be imbued with transdimensional energy. These locations might be natural phenomena or constructed spaces where the veil between dimensions is believed to be thin. The Bajoran Wormhole has become a major destination.

Dimensional Studies: Followers study sacred texts and teachings that explore the concepts of higher dimensions, and the role of Elevates. These studies provide insight into the moral obligations associated with each dimension.

Obligations

Transcendimensionalists believe that all sentient beings have a partial connection to higher-dimensional realms. This allows for consciousness, morality, and other non-observable phenomenon to manifest in the otherwise mundane, tangible world. Because of this light from beyond, sentient beings recognize that light in others and feel a moral obligation not to harm another. Of course, there are those who violate this moral call--engaging in a practice of self-deception (because in denying the hyperdimensional light of another being, you are denying that hyperdimensional light within yourself). Overcoming self-deception is possible, but usually involves an invitation from a source outside the deception. This could be from other sentient beings, or from elevates.
