| | While investigating the theory of creation, the Enterprise is caught inside an energy/matter tornado. After emerging from the storm, the crew encounter a world where magic works and science doesn't. |
| | |
| | For years scientists have theorized that if our galaxy was created from a great explosion then the center of the galaxy might still be creating new matter. The Enterprise is now on a science mission to investigate. It's an awesome thought that we may actually witness matter being created." |
|
| |
|
| | The Enterprise was sent on a scientific mission to find the creation point, an area in the galactic core where matter was being created. Upon arrival, the starship is caught in what Spock described as a matter-energy whirlwind and thrown into an alternate universe. All of the ship's computers and systems begin to fail, and the crew begins to lose consciousness due to the lack of oxygen. |
| | |
| | Suddenly, a red-skinned humanoid with small horns on his head appeared on the bridge. He repaired the systems and welcomed the crew as if they were old friends but preached caution. He took them to his planet, Megas-Tu, where he explained that Megas-Tu was not governed by the same laws as their own universe and that magic thrived here. He then sent them back to the Enterprise, seeming afraid that someone might discover them. |

| |
| Reptilian humanoids from an unknown planet. Little is known about them except that they are born in telepathically linked twins that are considered to be two halves of one being. If one is injured or killed, the other will relentlessly seek vengeance for what he perceives as an assault against him. A "quarrelsome people," according to Quark. Natives are marked by a whitish skin and a high hairline over the face but with a severe widow's peak of hair.

| ==History==
| |
| In 2369, the Miradorn twins Ah-Kel and Ro-Kel raided a Vanoben transport with their Miradorn raider just two light years from Deep Space 9. Shortly thereafter, they appeared at Quark's attempting to sell the Ferengi the stolen item; a valuable, ornate egg metal sphere. In a botched robbery attempt masterminded by Quark, a Rakhari fugitive, named Croden, killed Ro-Kel. In retaliation, Ah-Kel vowed to avenge his brother's death, his only purpose now left in life, but died trying. (DS9: "Vortex")
| |
|
| |
| In 2373, prior to the outbreak of the Dominion War, the Miradorn signed a nonaggression pact with the Dominion. (DS9: "Call to Arms")

| ==Description==
| |
| The Miradorn are a humanoid species, which have distinctive foreheads divided into two hemispheres (which seem to be bones). The species includes twins that together form two halves of one being, in something of a symbiotic relationship. If one twin dies, the other twin will anguish in the loss of "self". They are typically known for being a quarrelsome people.
