Little is actually known about the many fleets of ships, or what sizes or designs that House Fanel has built and use under their own control. They having passes, aquired through the good graces of many of the major powers in the quadrant gives them some leeway to travel unrestricted. All under the table of course. Though technically a human settlement, the Gaia system sits outside of control of any known power. There is no claim from anyone for actual control of the system. That being said, House Fanel has had many ships built in the event a known power, say the Romulans, or Cardassians would come and try to claim the worlds within their small space. Rumors circled around that Gaia has a worldwide planetary defense network, possibly a planetary shield grid system. These rumors are hard to confirm because House Fanel refuses any ship trying to breach their space. Any trade with House Fanel is through 3rd party channels and supply runs go from the system directly to the suppliers and back. That aside, the entire system itself is very self sufficient and can last indefinitely if every an attempted blockade from outside the nebula ever occurs, but that scenario is unlikely figuring the size of the circumference of the nebula around the system is extremely wide and thick, no amount of ship by any singular power can successfully blockade it even if it was worth it. | Little is actually known about the many fleets of ships, or what sizes or designs that House Fanel has built and use under their own control. The second one seen is a class similar to a Klingon [http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Klingon_Bird-of-Prey Bird of Prey], but radically redesigned. In simple terms, it's what would a Bird of Prey looks like if the Federation built it. Symbols inside it still holds its Klingon inspirations, it has a functional cloak and Klingon weapon systems, or so we seem. We do not know how many ships House Fanel possess, since cloaking technology is heavily watched by the other powers. A class this one would be called is a frigate. At a blurry glance and hull configuration, this type, one named the Kahless is distinctly Klingon inspired, giving the bird wings, but unlike most Klingon Bird of Preys, the wings of this ship is more bend back a bit, the nacelles are located closer to the main section of the ship. There appears to be at least 2 sets of impulse engines, two each at the ends of the wings and two sets closer in the middle of the central module. This would appear to be a well balanced ship. It size despite being similar in design to the Klingon Bird of Prey it is at least 2 times larger and has much more weapons systems. This was a warship like all the other classes of ships. | The second one seen is a class similar to a Klingon [http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Klingon_Bird-of-Prey Bird of Prey], but radically redesigned.
