==Personal History==
Born to a government official, and the youngest of three children it was always expected that Saya would stay on Vulcan and become a contributing member of Vulcan society.  From an early age, she developed an interest in science, as well as a curiosity of what lay beyond Vulcan.  This interest was cultivated and encouraged from an early age, and she was given ample opportunities to explore.  As she grew older, she found her fascination only increasing, but began to focus on more narrow courses of study within the realm of Science.

Graduating from the Vulcan science Academy, Saya procured a position at the Vulcan Mining Institute.  While this was considered vital and appropriate work, it was, however, tedious and uninteresting to her.  Saya toiled for fifteen years in a job she was not particularly satisfied with, and finally turned her attention to Starfleet Academy.  Despite the fact her parents were not pleased, she enrolled and found herself more at peace with her choice to change.
Syralla was an up and coming politician on Vulcan and met T'von, scientist, when he submitted a proposal that she disagreed with.  Despite their difference in opinions, the two found themselves drawn to each other and eventually, logic dictated they should bond themselves together.  They went on to have two children fairly close together, then their last , Saya, twenty years later.

As the daughter of government official it was always expected that Saya would stay on Vulcan and become a contributing member of Vulcan society.  From an early age, she developed an interest in science, as well as a curiosity of what lay beyond Vulcan.  This interest was cultivated and encouraged from an early age, and she was given ample opportunities to explore.  As she grew older, she found her fascination only increasing, but began to focus on more narrow courses of study within the realm of Science, and eventually specialised in Geology and Geophysics.

Despite the fact her parents were not amenable to this course of action, she enrolled and found herself more at peace with her choice to change.  Over the course of the Academy, she dedicated herself to expanding her knowledge in a variety of fields.

Despite her parents' initial protest, they have come to accept their daughter's choice, though they will still occasionally suggest that she return to Vulcan and focus her work there.  Still certain of her path, Saya remained steadfast, and sees her future among the stars.
