Lina is a social and generally happy person. When she is nervous, she tends to talk too much. But she also had to learn that showing her real emotions would only make her more vulnerable, so she became an expert in hiding her real feelings behind an always happy, optimistic and jovial mood, even if she is not in that mood at all. She really values harmony and does not like conflicts. Towards others, Lina could be described as a helpful, warm and empathetic person, as she knows what it feels like when nobody really cares about you.
Lina bases her decisions on personal values. In her childhood she fled into the world of books and read a lot. She dreamt herself to other worlds and places, which was also the reason why she finally decided to join Starfleet Academy. However, she did not join the Academy right after school as she was not really sure what to do. Her father also made her belief that she would not be good enough for Starfleet. Apart from that, she is quite a spontaneous person and enjoys surprises and new situations, which could also lead her into trouble or even into dangerous situations at times. When she considers someone a real friend, she is a good sport.
