Vurdal was born to parents Grilo and Ranick on Stardate 237402.06 and grew up on Benzar in the Belross geostructure with his siblings Monden, Zentin, Kinlor. When Vurdal was only 5 months old, the Dominion occupied Benzar. A few months later, a Romulan fleet liberated the Benzites. As a child, Vurdal enjoyed playing outside, reading, and watching the starship land at the spaceport. On Stardate 239209.04 Vurdal left his homeworld of Benzar and started at Starfleet Academy. He hadn’t decided which major he wanted to pursue so he decided to just do his core classes. After the first year, he declared his major, Security Operations. He had put a lot of thought into it and didn't want what happened to Benzar when he was an infant.
