At eighteen, Lauren attended the University College Cork where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Botany. Due to her exceptional scores she was offered a post aboard the USS Bispham, a Nova-class Surveyor with the rank of Warrant Officer. However. she left the Bispham after less than a year due to the unpleasant advances from her department chief, and her captains repeated dismissals of her complaints. Lauren returned to the family home in Cork for a time, before growing restless and deciding to move to Starbase 118 to live closer to her eldest sister who had been stationed there. | |||
