[[Gogigobo Fairhug]] is the first officer aboard the [[USS Apollo-A]], which is also the first assignment of [[Dar Toral]] after the academy. However, their history and relationship goes back as far as [[Starfleet Academy]]. Dar Toral was born on Bajor in 2374, just when the dominion war was raging throughout the alpha and beta quadrants. He rose on Bajor, living the Bajoran neutrality and the action of the sector and the wormhole. However, being nothing more than just a little baby, he does not remember any of these events from other than history sources. Dar is also part of a younger generation of Bajorans. As such he has not fought for Bajoran independence nor did he live Cardassian oppression and violence. Yet Dar has a lot of knowledge about these dark times, since history is one of his big hobbies. Ever since he can think, Dar wanted to be a scientist. He wanted to explore space and the stars, seek new life and new challenges. Something for which he decided [[Starfleet]] would be the best place. He passed most of his childhood studying history and feeding his thirst of knowledge with scientific data. He had an otherwise quite and uneventful childhood. With the age of 16 he applied for [[Starfleet Academy]] for the upcoming year. He was one of the few elected Bajorans to take the preparatory and respectively the admission exams. | |||

Dar is a quiet and peaceful Bajoran. He loves music, books and history. He has a great interest in science. Especially astronomy, biology, archaeology and anthropology fascinate him. In addition he has a fond interest in general medicine. Dar is generally helpful and tries to get along well with his co-workers and fellow [[Starfleet]] officers. He is eager and interested. He dedicates himself to his work and his ship and does not mind to take risks, where necessary. However, even while in deep space and far away from home, he tries to maintain a basic Bajoran lifestyle and some of the important traditions of his home.
