Deciding that their organization was out of options, [[Narm'ei Constable]] dismisses Ekal from TIC service and opts to implement their "final resort" - but Ekal learns of these measures, and fearing for his own life and that of his family, steals his [[CRI brace]] and travels back in time to 2395 to warn the ''Veritas'' of what's to come, even if that means changing his own future.

The ''Artemis'', tasked with transporting a subspace telescope along the border of the Shoals and the Tholian Assembly, encountered a subspace eddy - when it's crew was forced to abandon ship, the ''Artemis'' fails to self-destruct. With Zhou seriously injured by Tholian forces, command of the ''Montreal'' is handed to Commander [[Mei'konda]], and the crews of the ''Veritas'' and the ''Montreal'' are tasked by Nickson to locate the ''Artemis'' and it's cargo - but if all else fails, to destroy the vessel.

+The crew of the ''Montreal'' begins making repairs and begin to head for the last known coordinates of the ''Montreal''. Their progress was halted by a confrontation with the Tholians, who took a few pot shots at the ''Montreal'' and caused sufficient damage to the ship which resulted in double-shifts. The Tholian vessel was disabled, but speculation begins as to who has the ''Artemis'''s missing cargo. Common theories were pirates left over from Jilor's faction, or the Tholians.

+Their course was resumed, and all traces of the ''Artemis'' are gone when they arrive four days later. A desolate and unknown planetoid housed lifesigns, both hostile and familiar as Federation tracking signals were detected.  Lieutenant commander [[Lael Rosek]] took a team down to the planet consisting of [[Greywin Fergus]], [[German Galven]], [[Femi Cattan]], [[Tal Tel-ar]], [[Jacob Harkrow]], and [[Muvyn Padix]] to the surface to investigate. There was a bit of fighting, a casualty in the form of Padix getting shot and presumed fatally wounded, but revived on the ''Montreal'' in orbit above. The technology and the crew were safely recovered.
