She was born and raised on Vulcan. She was raised by her single father because her mother died in childbirth. She never asked her father about her mother after the first time led to her father being distant for a long while. She spent the majority of her time trying not to get bullied in school, often leading to physical confrontations between her and the other children. Her human mother was often seen as a disadvantage by the Vulcans. When offered the opportunity to attend the Vulcan Science Academy, she turned it down, preferring to join Starfleet. She decided to study languages and biology as her majors and get a minor in psychology. Her hobbies are to meditate and play Kal-Toh and other mind based games.  

She tries to act like a proper Vulcan but can be impulsive at times....a little too impulsive. This she claims was the one thing her dad didn't like about her personality but said that she had in common with her mother. But again like her mother, she is kind hearted, brave, and compassionate. Her training as a Vulcan from childhood leads many people to believe her to be cold and aloof. Like her fellow Vulcans, she can read people's minds or let them see hers through mind-meld. Doing a mind-meld with her father has caused her to be distant and fearful of what is to come.
