Veena's life was spent among the stars. She was born and raised on Luna Colony, but she was happy and spent a lot of time moving around with unquenchable wanderlust. When Veena was eighteen she headed for Earth. Veena obtained her bachelor’s degree in Nursing, two Doctoral Degrees, the first in Medicine and the Second in Psychoneuroimmunology. When she entered Starfleet she felt all that was left was for her to pass the officer conversion course. When Veena was eighteen she and her bond mate Doxen Kode also got married, and they supported each other through everything, including the birth of their only daughter, Kixen. They were both assigned their first Commission on the USS Venus where they were happy until Doxen's transfer to Luna Colony in 2392. Feeling that a Colony would be the best place for Kixen, Veena insisted he take her with him, and it nearly broke her heart. As such she put up a wall around her heart as she was transferred to the USS Tell.
