Krindo lived in the quintissential small Minnesota town until he learned he was actually adopted as a baby. His adopted parents tried to keep that fact from him until he applied to Starfleet when the usual medical scans revealed no blood relations with any of them. This revelation caused a falling out with his family, and now he believes Starfleet will help him find himself.
