Saavei is like many other vulcans described through the years; stoic, blunt, no nonsense, and seemingly judgemental (in regards to humans). Many in Starfleet Academy found her hard to approach, and those who have jumped that hurdle find her an intelligent (though quiet) woman.

** The only child to Sturon and T'Pak, Saavei lived a comfortable, though slightly sheltered, childhood. She did not have many friends, but those few she had, she kept close to her (even up to the present day)
*2364 - 2385 : Saavei was apprenticed and worked at the Vulcan House of Merchants with her father
** Sturon was one of the leading directors at the House of Merchants. On Vulcan, theft and dishonesty were two things that did not happen within the merchants guild (even with a Ferengi working there), but it was more common once the goods were shipped from Vulcana Regar. Saavei helped her father for most of her young life in making sure records were kept up to date, credentials were correct, and assisted in holding meetings and arranging parties (as somber and 'boring' as a vulcan can make them) at her house.
*2385 - 2387 : Unknown happenings in Saavei's life (she refuses to speak about it)
** Much is unknown during these two years of Saavei's life. She never brings it up, even to her close friends and family. There have been rumors of a 'falling out' between her and her father, but Saavei won't confirm or deny them.

** One of four vulcans accepted into the academy, Saavei struggled through her classes. Many found that strange - "She's a vulcan, these things should come easily!" - and it was with constant studying and pure determination to not quit that helped her graduate. Saavei focused on the sciences and engineering, and felt comfortable with a phaser (getting into the top three on her exams).
