Alex Blake grew up a farmer amongst farmers, on a farmer's world. He never had a problem with agriculture, but his parents wanted more from him. They pushed him to do better - academically, socially, etc. They persuaded him to apply to Starfleet Academy. He did, and became only the second colonist from Whilton's Folly to be accepted (he was also only the second one to apply). The first colonist, ironically, was his first-cousin twice-removed, {{nrank|Chief|Phillipe|Marquette}}, who only attended the Enlisted program. When Alex graduates as an officer, he will be the pride of Whilton's Folly. He has the whole planet pulling for him. | |||
