Six years Didrik's senior, Katarine is the oldest of the six Stennes children. Because Harald and Hera worked so frequently offworld, much of the responsibility for running the home and minding the younger children fell onto Katarine's shoulders. While other children might resent such responsibility, Katarine thrived on it. Of all Didrik's siblings, he is closest to Katarine, as she was an influential presence in his youngest years. Despite being married and a mother in her own right, Katarine continued to be a parental figure to the younger Stennes children into their teen years, particularly Didrik. Katarine introduced Didrik to who would become his first boyfriend when Didrik was 14 years old, and has always concerned herself with her younger brother's love life. | |||
