Lieutenent Commander Sorani was suddenly reassigned to the USS Avandar after the ship lost it's Chief Science Officer Lieutenant Commander [[Blackwood, Evanna|Evanna Blackwood]]. Another ship was destined to go through the wormhole and take over a delicate situation so it was a race to catch the USS Halo and the trio of runabouts before they got there.
