Beaufytor, Leo: Difference between revisions

Leowulf Graven Beaufytor (formerly Monsvor), was the child of a brief extra-marital encounter between a [[Pythron]] woman, '''Thera Datchet-Beaufytor''' (wife of a member of the Pythron military elite) and a gifted Byzallian technocrat called [[User:Eyas_Wtine|Mons Vor]] during a peace conference between the two planets. Due to the long standing hostility between the two races, Beaufytor was taken from Pythro when he was very young to be trained by his Father’s associates as an officer and covertly, as an assassin – adopting the name Graven Monsvor. Beaufytor’s upbringing in the tough bandit realms of Byzatium was very tough and forced him to learn quickly how to look after himself on the streets of Pride City, where gang culture was rife. He also became an excellent swordsman under the tutelage of the renowned Professor Victor Romont.  

When Beaufytor was a teenager, his Father insisted he join him in a conspiracy against the National Government in Pride City. Beaufytor not only disobeyed his Father, but shocked by the treachery planned, informed the authorities of his Father’s plot. The coup was foiled and Mons Vor was forced to flee the planet, vowing revenge. For the rest of his life, his Excellency [[User:Eyas_Wtine|Mons Vor]] was the curse and Puppet Master of the Quadrant. No worse enemy of freedom has ever appeared in the trappings of polite civilisation. Insatiable appetite for power, cold calculating ruthlessness and monumental greed for riches all presented themselves armed with fire, phaser and sword. The veneer of culture and good manners, of brilliant ceremonies and elaborate etiquette, only added a heightening effect to the villainy of his life's story. Better the barbarian conquerors of antiquity, primordial figures of the abyss, than this quiet, machiavellian creature, strutting amid the bows and scrapes of servitors and assassins to the torment of his age. Cruel and duplicitous, excelling in his lust for power, this Master of Engineers disturbed and harried the Galaxy with the lights of perverted science through decades of arrogant pomp, ably assisted by his dark agents, most notably Inquisitor Marshal '''Karinus LeNoir'''.

Meanwhile, back home on Byzatium, young Beaufytor had to make a choice between following in his Father’s footsteps, falling into a life of crime and smuggling, or making a career for himself on the right side of the law. He had a good mind in his head and a strong sense of adventure, and applied to Star Fleet Academy. A life in the stars promised much more than a life at home. Beaufytor was particularly interested in all things tactical and security, and was assigned to the [[USS Independence-A]] from DeepSapce17, and then to the [[USS Tiger-A]]. During his time as a member of the [[USS Tiger-A]] [[Tiger-A_Security_Department|Security Team]], he has already built up a group of loyal acolytes amongst the junior officers, most notably [[Belasi, Sedrin|Lt.JG Sedrin Belasi]] and Crewman Gene Ericksson.
