Thunder Chief of Operations Office

This office is assigned to the current Chief of Operations. The Chief of Operations is charged with streamlining and coordinating all the departments aboard the USS Thunder during a mission. A further goal is to achieve the maximum out of all the ships systems with the least possible loss of efficiency, before any situation arrives. As such an Opts Chief monitors ship systems over set time periods and coordinates them, so each system works more efficiently with each other. Due to the immense workload that is incurred by such a task, this room offers a place where the Chief can draw back to work out such plans without disturbance. As with all offices aboard the USS Thunder the Chief of Opts can decorate this room to his or her own requirements or desires.

Chief of Operations Office

The current Chief of Operations is Lt.Cmdr. Thomas N. Gregory.

Office of Lt.Cmdr. Thomas Gregory

The current Chief of Operations aboard the USS Thunder has left his office in Federation Standard design, choosing only to install a few personal items to brighten his workplace. The room has a number of computer panels and on the wall behind his desk hangs a large, close up picture of the seventh planet of the Sol system, the gas giant Uranus. This beautiful picture hides a Silver Safe that is inserted into the wall and is sealed at all times. To make long workdays or nights easier there is a small couch and coffee table installed in the left corner. On this far wall stands a proud, wooden Grandfather Clock, its brass pendulum swinging freely as it counts time. Another occupier of the room is 'Mittens', the Chief's pet cat, who has his own litter box, a scratching post, a toy rubber mouse for amusement when alone and of course the Royal Pillow where Mittens can sleep while keeping a watchful eye on the door.

Upon being asked once why his pet lived in his office, Lt.Cmdr. Gregory allegedly answered; 'Because I practically live there myself'. It is unknown if this statement is true.
