Description

Ariolo have a tough, almost leathery skin that is usually a dark grey or brown in color. They have angular heads that slope upwards from a low forehead to the rear of the cranium. The jaw is angled down so that the mouth, which reverses the angular pattern to slope upward away from the line of the jaw and forehead, protrudes slightly away from the face. have centaur-like torsos.

Ariolo are a humanoid species and members of the United Federation of Planets.


In 2285, the Ariolo were represented by two ambassadors to the Federation Council. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

The name of this species comes from FASA's Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update. While strictly a non-canon source, it is the only widely-recognized source for names of the Star Trek IV aliens. Also according to that book, the Ariolo originate from a planet called Fillandia and
