Personal History
Christopher Klause Hoffman was born in Munich, Germany. born blind at birth his parents opted to give him the best that technology could provide. He wears a VISOR. This has led Chris to both love and hate the ability to see. His personal attitude is "We are made how we are made, Nothing should interfere with that."
Chris loved to explore when he was a teenager. He was in the Boy Scouts. Spelunking and geology were a general hobby of his. He was born with a rather large inquisitive streak inside of him. While most children his age looked to the sky and wondered why, He looked to the ground and asked, "How."
Chris also has a passion for music. He plays the piano as well as the bodhran. He is a lover of folk music, even with his broken English and his German accent he tries to sing in English, which leads to semi comical moments or bouts of enjoyable entertainment.
Chris also has a love of boats and the sea. It is as if he was a sailor in another life. His holodeck programs feature him as a swashbuckling pirate during he Napoleonic or as a Hessian during the revolutionary war of America. Chris knows almost every sea song that was sung and sometimes while drinking or at his workstation will hum or softly sing it.
Christopher goes by Christopher usually, he only lets his close friends call him Chris. His mother calls him Topher a name which he despises. Christopher was nammed after Christopher Pike. The first captain of the Original USS Enterprise. All in all Christopher is a proud man. Proud of himself, proud of his accomplishments and his heritage. He sees himself as German first and human secondary.
He is efficient, he is not hesitant to quote the rules, or help a friend. If he sees somebody being genuinely picked on or in need, he likes to be the first guy who lends a hand. His presence is a little on the intimidating side, but he is a gentle giant with a heart as gold as the hair on his head.
Professional History
Christopher with his fondness for geology built a model of a geothermal reactor. What separated his reactor from the demonstration models was his worked. It powered model of Munich. This impressed a lot of his teachers, this also set him on a course for Starfleet. His Science teachers co-husband was a member of the Telleratie Mining Company. he urged him to apply himself at Starfleet Academy.
Christopher being himself was very self conscious about something as big as StarFleet. he applied anyway. Much to his sock he was accepted in. It as there Christopher's life started to change. He became a section leader of his Simulator Crew. He started to show leadership and thinking. His analytical mind came into its full growth when he took a few engineering courses. He has a degree in Structural Engineering, He minored in Geology.
He applied for Colonial Development. He wanted to construct buildings and explore planets. His instructors felt that was a waste of potential, So Chris was put in a blue uniform and placed on a starship. He feels now he has something that he has to prove.
