Amanda Woodward was born on Alpha Centauri III to a retired Starfleet officer and an author. From a young age she had a strong interest in writing and hoped to create her own holonovels like her mother. After attending the University of Alpha Centauri and graduating with a degree in media studies, she became a junior reporter for the Centauri Times. Before moving to the Federation News Service she worked on a variety of projects from sports coverage to investigative reports on local government. Some of her greatest works for the Centauri Times include coverage of local elections and an investigative article on the cause of a cargo freighter crash on Alpha Centauri V. After joining the Federation News Service Amanda moved to the Sol system. She has an apartment in Armstrong City where she lives with her two cats while not traveling for work.
