Most people would be forgiven for thinking that the confident and outgoing John was the elder brother, for Julius was ever the quiet one, with his shy smile and nervousness, head usually in a book. He was friendly enough and would volunteer his thoughts in conversation, but unless other people's interests ran in the direction of his own he tended to run out of things to say. | |||
But the studying paid off and he impressed his examiners with his knowledge of specifics and memory for small but important facts, as well as his deftness and attention to detail. He understood the underlying basis of his field and displayed an inherent aptitude. In the environment of Starfleet Academy, with the best and brightest as his peers he flourished.
