+Arthur Strathmore was born on the Federation Colony of New France in the Bajoran Sector on February 27th, 2376 (Stardate 237602.27) to Carla and Lester Strathmore. His parents were part of a human-bajoran offshoot of the Cult of the Pah-wraiths and so the environment he grew up in was one that focused on vengeance, hatred, and denying the fundamental truths of the universe. Every aspect of life was controlled by the Cult. Arthur soon developed into a deeply frightened and melancholy boy and because of this, Carla became disillusioned with her life in this community; asking a friend and Bajoran Starfleet Tactics Officer named Lt. Illos Deelkar to get them to safety. They managed to get away with his mother marrying the now Lt. Commander Deelkar years later and moving to Jalenda City on Bajor. In response to the hardships of his past, Arthur now strives to be the total opposite of his upbringing. Where there was vengeance, there is now justice; where there was hatred, there is now compassion; where there was sadness, there is now hope; where there were lies, there is now truth. The anxiety lingers though, something he may never fully free himself from. But if he can help others the way his stepfather helped him and his mother, then he will have found his purpose. That is why he went to Starfleet Academy and studied extremely hard to achieve his goal of becoming a Counselor. So, he can deal with people on a personal level with empathy, understanding and fight to end the cycle of despair.
