As a student of clinical psychology at the University of Betazed, sparring lecturers branded Sepulsra a radical telepath, believing her approach to helping patients was nothing more than mischievous and invasive. Yet her techniques were tantamount to many of her success stories, leaving her instructors with no choice but to keep her on the course. During this period of time, she reached out to a number of helpless individuals, who each benefitted from her unusual counsel, and though a very many of them were small and insignificant, one eventually lead her to a career in Starfleet - a memory strangely marred with darkness.
 
Her relationship with her family is rather an unbalanced one; like most Betazoid families concerned with reputation, her party-loving naturist parents, Dwavriya and Cesmol Hex, are brutally invested in their children's lives, but have often found it challenging locating their daughters exact location. Apart her wild and hedonistic Auntie, Hedaia, the none-royal House of Hex is one of many marked by scandal, something Sepulsra is thought to be responsible for.

Sepulsra was born in Leiddumai, a place somewhere in [[Betazed]], to parents Dwavriya and Cesmol Hex (née Ekostri), and is the sister of brothers Beimal and Deimad. Although not a noble family, the Hex's have always enjoyed mingling with the upper echelons of society, and so have always held many expectations for their children to do and act as a Noble would. But a tumultuous time in education left Sepulsra with a reputation as a rogue with her own ideas, and a graduation that almost never happened. Joining Starfleet therefore was her way out. Away from Betazed, away from her family and out into the blackness...where she could do as she pleased.


After initially being posted on the [[USS Chin'toka]], under the brilliant Caitian Captain [[Mei'konda]], she was transferred to the Shemsh Colony in the quake of an attack which left the colonists traumatised, where she has spent some of her most formative and maturing years. Now her oily black eyes look up to the stars once more, to her future and what that holds for her next.
