Although Rinka and Nalavak were disappointed when Nonka told them she was applying for Starfleet Academy, resulting in a very awkward discussion over slug steak one evening, it was decided that perhaps having a daughter in Starfleet would someday prove useful and highly profitable, and that making those connections wouldn't hurt.
