Figuring out how to fix house-hold appliances, robots and other bits of technology to help pass the time, using manuals she couldn't stand to read, it became apparent to her that she could use her skills to escape her situation. Encouraged by her best friend Murphy, she catapulted herself into an enlisted career, leaving her grim life behind.
