Their shoreleave cut short, the Resolutions celebrations of their recently accomplished mission, the first for the recently recommissioned ship, is ordered to the Da'al homeworld after an urgent message is sent to Starfleet about a pending Klingon invasion. | |||
The Da'al, a peaceful and warp capable species who's home is in the borderlands, have chosen to remain neutral. They are now threatened and seeking assistance from the Federation. Meanwhile, on the surface, a coup is developing. After sending an away team to investigate, the Resolutions crew quickly discover that Ypartin, the Da'al Prime Minister, is behind the coup attempt and was the one who invited the Klingons. During questioning and broadcasting of his motives, the people under Prime Minister Ypartin, protested. Leading to his arrest, he is now awaiting trial. | |||
Advisor Zeneth has assumed the temporary role of Prime Minister and is working to restore the formal government of the Da'al. She has also made clear their intentions of establishing peaceful relations with the Federation. The Klingons retreated from their invasion without incident. | |||
