Denji Ryan is currently assigned to the Counselling and Medical department at the [[Embassy]] on Duronis II and the [[USS Thunder-A]]. He also specializes in behavioural neuroscience and Bio-Neural circuitry.

Denji grew up near the ocean on Australia's south coast. Most of his favorite activities are related to the water and the beach like surfing, snorkelling, swimming, sailing, rowing, and beach volleyball. Denji also enjoys applying his El-Aurian listening skills to unique forms of musical expression. He uses computer software to create music and is a very successful DJ that has created a name for himself by combining seemingly incompatible musics from species and cultures from around the galaxy.

Denji's mother was only around for the first few months of his life. He was raised solely by his father. His father owned a popular cafe on the beach front in Sidney. Denji was looked after by a combination of his father, cafe employees, and some of the cafe's regular customers. He lived the beach life, however he also was a very successful student. Denji's father eventually told him about who his mother was and that he was half El-Aurian when he was 15. At age 16, Denji was accepted into Starfleet Academy as a Counselling Major, with a science minor specializing in sociology and anthropology.
