Outwardly Selevian culture is rather peaceful but this peace is kept in place by a near tyrannical quasi-theocracy since the split from the Federation. Most use their religion as justification for their control of the people if they believe it or not. Selevian culture is highly dedicated to intellectual pursuits and they consider themselves above most other species culturally and scientifically. While Selevian culture is rich it is now constantly being undermined by the post-Federation government and the once proud and graceful Selevian people are on a slow ship to oblivion.
