She cannot help herself to the fact of using her mind in situations like away missions. At times, her commanding officers keep her from doing away missions, but realize that if she does not learn, she would not finish her Starfleet training.

 Renae is fairly serious but is also playful (some of the cadets in her classes claimed that she was a bit of a flirt). She enjoys sitting with friends when ever she can and going to the holodeck.
 She is very excepting of everyone, saying "you are who you were created to be, so why change it?". She likes trying to cheer people who have had a tough day up, reassuring them that the next day would be different. She also reminds them of their qualities, and careful not to hurt them.
