Lt Blue Pips

Hi Toni, the Lt. JG blue pips image is used as a standard in more than just the USS Challenger's duty roster. Modifying it's size effects the sizing on numerous pages. I've uploaded a new file to fix the problem. In the future the standard for the USS Challenger's duty roster is 'C' in front of the image name because of their different sizes. -Sirkit

Where can I find the list of pip files that you have already uploaded to be able to use them?

I've created a category for the Challenger sized pips images, I've also uploaded all possible starfleet pips (standard not dress) so you can link to them appropriatly. The names are now also standardized so they are all C(color)-(rank).jpg for easier navagation. TO acess the category just click on one of the challenger pips images and then click on the category. -Sirkit

Thanks, that should make it a lot easier. Toni Turner

Your welcome. - Sirkit

Correct Name

Just a note, I moved your page to Turner, Toni. Primary characters have their last name first when we put them on a wiki page, so we can find them easier. Also fixed the link on the Embassy crew history page. --Wolf 12:17, 30 Oct 2005 (CST)

Challenger NPCs

I've renamed the NPC list pages... The format I've changed it to Challenger <insert department name here> NPCs, e.g. CIVILIANS moved to Challenger Civilian NPCs I've done this as the page names you used made no reference to the ship name so I thought these new names would be a lot clearer. Hope you don't mind. - Jay 17:33, 17 February 2006 (CST)

No, I don't mind, just as long as they can find them. I will be updating the USS Walton with the same lists too, so I will set it up as you have them.

Article Naming

Toni, please remember that the names of articles must be SPECIFIC if you are creating them for a vessel. If you are talking about the holodecks on the Challenger, it would be "Challenger holodecks". You can only have one page per name, so if you name your page "Holodecks," we don't know if you're talking about Challenger holodecks, Enterprise holodecks, or just holodecks in general.

If you want to create a link but want the name to not include "Challenger," you can do it like this: [[Challenger holodecks|holodecks]]

Please keep this in mind whenever you create links to new pages. Thanks! --Wolf 14:46, 23 April 2006 (CDT)

Okay, Sir. Will keep that in mind for future pages. Should I change the ones I have made? User:Toni

Don't worry about those, Toni. Between Wolf and I we've already fixed up the existing ones. Just remember to do it this way for any new ones you make. Varaan 11:51, 25 April 2006 (CDT) (PS, how's the Challenger? from Doc Robertson)
  • Big smile* I love the Challenger. The Captain T'Pen is great, and all the people are really nice. Had they not took me in, I would have probably not stayed here at UFOP. Kassa is now on a ship too as my secondary - U.S.S Triumphant with another great Captain (Rhys). I'm really happy about that too. She deserved more than being a NPC all her life *lol* Still having to research a lot of my sims on the technical side, but as always, I still sim a great deal and love it. User:Toni

"Updated...."

Toni, keep in mind that you can find the last time any article was updated by clicking on the "History" tab of any page. You may find it easier to rely on that, instead of manually marking every page you update ;) --Wolf / talk page 11:42, 1 July 2006 (CDT)

Okay, Thank you for the info. I was just copy and pasting it in to save typing. *lol* Trying to make good use of the Holiday time off. User:Toni

Problem

On this page... http://www.starbase118.net/wiki/index.php/Challenger_Tour only part of the Challenger Template is showing when I go there. Is it showing for you?

Looks fine to me. --Wolf /talk page 14:31, 1 July 2006 (CDT)

Okay, maybe I just need to reboot. All I am showing on that one page is the Forums, Website and group links. User:Toni

Challenger Medical Ailments

Toni, I'm glad you're here on the wiki, 'cos there are only about 4 of us who put things here regularly. However, what we are trying to go for on OUR wiki is to have stuff specific to what has happened in OUR Star Trek universe. If it happened in canon Trek, we're hoping to link to it on Memory Alpha, Wikipedia, or another site. That way, we don't waste time or space having stuff that is just a copy of things elsewhere.

What would be great, for instance, is if you have this list as a page unto itself. For those ailments that are canon, link them to the appropriate memory alpha page. For those that you guys on Challenger have made up, give them their own page entry and link to that. The appropriate category would be "Diseases and maladies".

For instance, if you go here: http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Disease you can see that Memory alpha has a more comprehensive list than you do, so why go to all the extra trouble of redoing information that's already out there. See? (Just trying to help you out and save you some time). -Varaan 16:22, 20 July 2006 (CDT)

Sounds good to me to link the ailments to Memory Alpha. I can elaborate on the ones we make up that way. I also took the time to do lists for Equipment, procedures and medications. The medications are set up in catagories to make them easier for people to find the medication needed for a specific treatment. Is there a link for something like those too? Sims on the wiki

Thought I'd bring the page Formatting SIMs to your attention. - Lt.JG SalakUSS IndependenceTalk 10:52, 6 November 2006 (CST)

Thanks, I had no idea it was there. Toni

Stardates

Hi Toni,

I was breezing through looking at different mission logs on the Wiki and look a look at the Challenger's. You have 2384, but the current stardate year for the group is 2383. (*wry smile*) Thought I'd let you know. DCody 01:32, 10 November 2006 (CST)

Yeah, I noticed it a couple of days ago, and have not had time to fix it. Will do it now. Who is this? Toni
