((Shuttle, Unknown))

::Lael woke to the headache from hell. She groaned and moved to massage her temples, only to have tight restraints stop her. As she got her bearings, she saw the young Romulan woman they'd been chasing, smug and a man beside her wearing a similar smirk.::

Romulan Woman: What's the matter, Trill? Not the end to your foolish chase that you were expecting?

Tarna: response

Rosek: ::lips tighten:: I wouldn't be so smug if I were you. You forget. We have friends who'll be looking for us and that box you were carrying. They'll have figured it out by now.

::The Romulan Woman's gaze snapped to hers and before Rosek could flinch, a latex-gloved hand collided hard with her cheek, worsening an already irritating head injury.::

::Lael hissed in fury, her eyes darkening dangerously.::

Rosek: ::icily:: I would watch your back if I were you. The moment you let your guard down...the moment you think you're safe...

Romulan Woman: ::glares:: I'm not afraid of a weak little Human like you.

::Another strike, harder this time.::

Rosek: ::flexes her jaw and sneers:: Sounds more like you're trying to convince yourself than me.

::In an instant, the Romulan woman had whipped out a phaser and was pointing it directly at her temple.::

Romulan Woman: You would be wise not to provoke me any further.

::Lael's gaze narrowed, her eyes flickering to the box. It was up to her and Tarna to retrieve that box. She closed her mouth abruptly, her eyes dropping to the deck. She was a Starfleet Officer. She COULD control herself. She drew in and released a heavy breath through her nose.::

::Smirking in satisfaction, the Romulan Woman said something in her native language to her companion and the two departed, leaving Lael and Tarna in what she now realized was a prison cell. A forcefield activated at the entrance the moment the two Romulans had cleared it.::

::The moment the forcefield activated, the magnets holding the wrists and ankles of the two sets of cuffs together disengaged. Shaking her arms, she moved toward Tarna.::

Rosek: You all right? You looked like you took a pretty hard tumble back there.

Tarna: response

Rosek: ::points to her bruised face:: This? Naw. Doesn't even hurt yet. Though it didn't help my headache.

Tarna: response

Rosek: ::shrugs:: Only half Human. I can take it. Had worse anyway.

Tarna: response

Rosek: Dad's Al-Leyan.

Tarna: response

Rosek: ::smirks:: Most haven't. Only a few difference between us and Humans. These ::indicates slight point of ears:: though mine aren't as prominent as full blood Al-Leyans. But I'm still ultra sensitive to sound. Oh and eyesight. During the day I wear contacts. Visual acuity is a little less than Humans. But at night, I have built-in night vision.

Tarna: response

Rosek: Means my eyes glow. ::grins:: It's not as creepy as it sounds, really. ::pauses:: Oh, and I'm stronger than the average Human woman. Again, not as strong as a full blood Al-Leyan, but...

Tarna: response

Rosek: ::smiles sheepishly:: Not usually. Combo of the headache and French blood. More passionate about things, I guess.

Tarna: response

Rosek: ::laughs:: Now, Doctor, you're going to make me blush.
