In [[Starfleet Academy]], Astrim majored in Astrophysics and minored in Operations.
Astrim decided not to join Starfleet as an officer since he/she felt he/she was not good with the duty and patience that it would require. In [[Starfleet Academy]], Astrim studied for a science position. She served as a Research/Lab technician before changing to Components Engineering temporarily, and this gave him/her the opportunity to be in an Operations position where it is required to combine both Science and Engineering knowledge.
