The Year of the Commodore Commemorative Coin recognizes members who were active when the majority of active Commanding Officers in the StarBase 118 fleet held the rank of Commodore. Upon introduction of this special event, two-thirds (six of nine) Commanding Officers had attained the rank, designating over five years of command experience:
- Quinn Reynolds (attained in 2019)
- Jalana Rajel (attained in 2020)
- Aron Kells (attained in 2020)
- Sal Taybrim (attained in 2020)
- Roshanara Rahman (attained in 2021)
- Kalianna Nicholotti (attained in 2021)
To be awarded, members must have been active and in good standing between the dates of September 18, 2021 and December 31, 2021.
